How Limbo works
Before each round you enter a target multiplier — the screenshot shows 2.00. When you play, the game reveals a random result multiplier, and the big central number counts up to whatever it landed on. If that reveal is at or above your target, you win and are paid at your target multiplier. If it stops below your target, the stake is lost. That's the entire game loop: one target, one reveal.
Selecting a target multiplier
The target is the only setting that matters, and it controls everything else. Enter a modest 1.5x and you're asking for a common result; enter 100x and you're asking for a rare one. As you change the target, the Chance field updates to show how often that target is expected to land — around 49.5% for a 2.00 target in the screenshot.
Probability and the multiplier relationship
Target and probability are two sides of the same coin. Roughly speaking, the chance of hitting a target is the inverse of that target, trimmed slightly by the house edge. Double the multiplier you're chasing and you roughly halve how often it lands.

Low-risk and high-risk target examples
Low-risk targets
Targets like 1.2x–2x land often and produce smaller, steadier returns. Losing runs are shorter, but so are the wins. Suits a smaller bankroll and a calmer session.
High-risk targets
Targets like 10x, 50x or beyond can go a long time without landing, then pay a large multiplier once. Expect long dry spells and size your stake accordingly.
